An Elegant Hyatt Regency Wedding

On March 10th 2018 The stunning Bride and Groom, Lauren & Ehren celebrated their marriage at the prestigious Hyatt Regency on Sussex St in Sydney. With the dream team of Kathy & Lauren from Nightingales designing and organising the entire event, it was sure to be a beautiful night to remember yet on the evening it exceeded all expectations!

We had the absolute pleasure of providing entertainment from start to finish with our amazing Evoke DJ and Let’s Groove Tonight 6 piece band (Ft. Emma & Chris).

After the couples stunning ceremony in Hunters Hill, guests started arriving just outside the Hyatt ballroom for canapés at 6:00pm with classy entertainment from our Let’s Groove Tonight guitar and double bass canapé duo. It was a perfect combination of soft jazz music, champagne and appetisers to start a perfect night of celebrations and lifelong memories.

Before you know it, it’s a quarter to seven and guests are making their way into the ballroom to find their seats. The family and bridal party entrances begin and our Evoke DJ Tim is taking care of each entrance song – the favourite being ‘I Gotta Feeling’ by the Black Eyed Peas. Creating a sense of excitement with each couple’s entry before the grand entrance of the Bride & Groom with 15 loud and energetic Lebanese Drummers. WOW! Seriously, they can create a vibe (and noise!) – what a special moment. All guests are up on their feet making their way to the dance floor to celebrate and dance with the newlyweds.

We then head into entrées and mains with the Let’s Groove Tonight jazz band performing all the couple’s favourite songs, setting the tone for the evening. From our perspective there is nothing better than a canapé and dinner set to start the night. It truly does establish the beginning to the evening, warming you and your guests up until dance floor time.

Onto my favourite part of the night – the bridal waltz. The couple had DJ Tim play ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ by Elvis as Ehren swept Lauren around the dance floor bringing a tear to everyone’s eye. As Elvis finishes his song, it’s straight into party time – Let’s Groove Tonight jump back on stage and perform all the best party hits from the 80s 90s and now. Ending with a massive family and friends sing-a-long of ‘Living on a Prayer’ and ‘You’re the Voice’ with MC of the evening Salvatore.

A big thank you to the wonderful Nightingales, Lauren and Ehren for having us on your big day – we enjoyed every moment 🙂

Love Emma, Chris & Ally
