As of Today, according to NSW Gov the restrictions in NSW now allow 20 guests to attend a wedding of which in non inclusive of the Bride & Groom, Videographer, Photographer and the people conducting or assisting with the conducting of the wedding.
Although weddings right now only allow for 20 guests we predict that a few things will carry over in the Post Covid19 world:
- Smaller weddings will become more popular compared to what they were pre-covid
- There will be an increase in demand for outdoor style weddings.
- With Weddings becoming smaller, Acoustic or Electric Duos & Trios will be the most popular form of wedding entertainment.
On the other side of things, there are also many couples that have still gone ahead with tying the knot, despite having to cancel their original wedding plans due to Covid.
One Client story in particular is JC & Milli who we absolutely admire for rolling with the punches and getting married in a private ceremony blessed by their priest, early in May this year.
They had of course planned for something different altogether with Let’s Groove Tonight Electric Trio as their entertainment but instead have repurposed what would have been their big ceremony & reception into what will now become their 1 Year Wedding Anniversary. The awesome thing is that this time next year they will be able to celebrate not just the milestone of marriage but that of 1 year together as Husband and Wife, making for an extra special event surrounded by friends and family.
At Evoke we have started to get more enquiries in regards to wedding bookings for the end of 2020 and throughout 2021 / 2022 which shows that as we see the restrictions ease, the more confidence couples have in locking in new dates and suppliers for their wedding day.
